The flagship product of The Humble Co, the Humble Brush, is now launching at over 1.000 Walgreens pharmacy stores in the United States. The dentist-developed and socially responsible toothbrush with a handle of 100% sustainably grown bamboo will be available in the two colors black and white. The partnership opens an amazing opportunity for customers in the U.S. to choose environmentally and socially conscious oral health products in stores where they pursue most of their health and wellness product shopping.
The Walgreen Company is the second largest pharmacy store chain in the United States and is setting the pace on sustainability issues. Enhancing transparency regarding Walgreens impact on communities and the environment, data showed the results of the company’s efforts to reduce emissions and waste. Ornella Barra, Walgreens Boots Alliance co-chief operating officer and chairman of the Corporate Social Responsibility Committee said: “I am immensely proud of the positive impact our initiatives have on millions of lives around the world. By building on our successes and creating long-term collaborations with partner organizations, we aim for the biggest possible positive impact in our areas of focus. For us, this is quite simply the right thing to do.”1
Founded by dentist Noel Abdayem, The Humble Co. was created from a shared commitment to oral health and an understanding that it’s not necessary to harm our environment just to brush our teeth properly. In four years, The Humble Co. has conquered Europe and Asia and is now redirecting the focus towards the largest consumer market in the world – USA. The bamboo toothbrush has replaced over 12 million plastic brushes and funded 30 Humble Smile Foundation projects from Cambodia to Nicaragua in the process. The Humble Co.’s products are developed to reduce our environmental impact and can be found in over 35,000 retail locations across the globe.
